Brothers

The boys are getting to know each other better and becoming better friends on this trip.  Tanner is getting better at playing with Tristan as he develops and grows and Tristan is getting better at handling Tanner!  It's fun to watch brothers grow up together.  Tristan takes really good care of Tanner and so we see that played out in Tanner as he takes care of kids younger than him, as Tristan has taught him by his own actions.  

They fight a lot too, some days more than others.  But when Tanner has pushed me to my limits, Tristan steps in and defends him or takes over negotiating with him so that he doesn't miss out on anything.  If Tanner refuses to get dressed or put on shoes and we threaten to leave him, Tristan is right there working with him to get him dressed or his shoes on so that little brother doesn't miss out on any of the fun that Tristan knows is ahead.

One day I heard Tanner say, "Trisan, I love you." out of the blue - totally melted my heart.  I am so glad these boys have each other to grow with and do life together.  Thank you, God, for putting us all together as a family.

I am the most spoiled woman in the world!  My Father in Heaven gave me a wonderful parents and family to grow up with, who continue to be an integral part of our lives, an amazing husband to have children of dreams, and two truly lovely, delightful families that I married into that I love and cherish.  

Grateful.
